The documentary by legendary director Vilen Zakaryan portrays three central figures of modernist architecture in Yerevan, Armenia. Hrachik Poghosyan, Spartak Khachikyan and Arthur Tarkhanyan have collaboratively designed several of the most important buildings of their time, for instance: the Cinema Rossiya, the terminal of Zvartnots airport and the Palace of Youth, which has been destroyed in 2008 and replaced by an hotel. The film has been rediscovered 2018 as part of the exhibition „the city of tomorrow“, curated by Ruben Arevshatyan, Anna Kats and Georg Schöllhammer and organized by Goethe Institut Yerevan and Tranzit.

His young son Garik suggests renovating the cafe to solve their financial problems. This choice creates moral conflict for the father.

In this district the legacy of the Soviet Union still occupies the minds and daily lives of the residents living in these huge unfinished monolithic structures built in the shape of the letters ‚CCCP‘, as the urban legend holds. In 1986 people still invested in some of the apartments in the letter ‚P‘ that has never got constructed in the end due to the imminent collapse of the Soviet Union.

Two friends from the outskirts of Yerevan, burdened by debt, risk everything to invest in a small neighborhood stall. Lacking the skills and knowledge to succeed, they lose their investment and face grave danger from a local gangster demanding repayment. Just as hope fades, the Velvet Revolution erupts, and their stall becomes a hot spot, turning them an unexpected profit from the protests. But their newfound success is short-lived as the post-revolution government, cracking down on illegality, dismantles their stall for lacking proper permits.
